Mrs. Frye was born June 11, 1920 to the late John Robert & Nancy Mills Hutchens. She was a wonderful housewife and a member of Pilot View Friends Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Alex Houston Frye, Sr. on September 30, 2006, a daughter:Wanda Lou Frye, a sister: Bessie Harris, a brother: Dallas Robert Hutchens, and a great-grandson: Nathan Willard. Surviving are her children: Alex Houston (Shelba) Frye, Jr., Larry (Janice) Frye, John Major (Pam) Frye, and Nancy Clementine (Ronnie) Seats, all of Yadkinville. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Pam (Kevin) Rogers, Sherry (Roy) Winfrey, Lisa (Brian) Barker, Kellie (Rex) Carter, Natalie Frye, Emily Frye, Kenneth Brown, Marsha Patterson, Patrick Frye, Daniel Frye, great-grandchildren: Whitney Irvin, A.J. Carter, Kendal Carter, Anna Rogers, Meghan Winfrey, Todd Patterson, step-grandchildren:Tyson Rothrock, Marsha (Mark) Russell, Cassandra (Brent) Davis, Olin Seats, Eric Seats, step-great-grandchildren: Adam Davis, Nicholas Davis, Heather Sanger, Tyler Barker, Kyle Russell, Kurt Russell, Karma Grace Rothrock and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral was conducted at 2 p.m.Monday August 11, 2008 at Pilot View Friends Church by the Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger. . Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday August 10, 2008 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Memorials may be made to Pilot View Friends Church 3225 Pilot View Church Rd.
