Mrs. Corder was born Nov. 9, 1919, in Yadkin County to Thomas Buster and Martha Caroline Everidge Cummings. Mrs. Corder was a homemaker and was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was also a representative for Avon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Cummings York. Survivors include her husband, Paul Spencer Corder of the home; a son, Tom Corder, and wife Lois of Wilmington; a brother, Robert James Cummings, and wife Hazel of Elkin; and a grandchild, Wesley Paul Corder, and wife Jennifer of Wilmington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. J.P. Sizemore and the Rev. Kenny Gunn officiating. Burial will follow at Little Richmond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, Ma! y 16, at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church, or to the Children' s Home Society of North Carolina, P.O. Box 14608, Greensboro, NC 27415.
