She was born in Yadkin County on Jan. 31, 1925, to Terry Vance and Ethel Frazier Trivette. During World War II, she worked in Washington, D.C., at the Pentagon. Mrs. Hobson retired from Fall Creek School where she worked as secretary. She was a founding member of the Richmond Hill Law School Commission and was a member of Recommend Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Arnold C. Hobson. Surviving are her three daughters, Mrs. Sami C. (Ed) Klevinski of Clemmons; Mrs. Arnola H. Stinson of East Bend; and Mrs. Virginia H. (Sim) Artice of East Bend; a sister, Virginia Haner of California; a brother, Glenn Trivette of Boonville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Richmond Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Hamrick offici! ating. Huff Funeral Home of East Bend is assisting the family.
