My husband's mother was Ruby J. Shore, wife of William O. "Tom" Casstevens. I have traced the Shore line (they lived in the western part of Yadkin County) back to Henry Shore, b. ca 1795 and wife Rachel Parsons, b. ca 1801. Their son, David Shore, b. Mar. 16, 1839, d. Feb. 2, 1884 in Yadkin County, married Margaret Anm Huff (6-4-1838-1-13-1911). They were the parents of Aquilla Glenn Snore (8-6-1874 to 10-28-1948), who married Dora Octavia Casstevens (1-26-1882-4-3-1949), the parents of the above mentioned Ruby Jemima Shore.
