Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Peddycord was born May 31, 1913, in Yadkin County, a daughter of the late Herbert Hutchins and the late Annie Lou Caudle Hutchins. Mrs. Peddycord was retired from Zsabo Foods and was a member of Heritage Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Peddycord; son Kenneth Peddycord; grandson Charles Peddycord; four sisters; and three brothers. She is survived by her children, Joyce P. Shields and husband John Jr. of Mocksville; Kathleen P. Wilson of Raleigh; Calvin Peddycord and wife Pat of Winston-Salem; and Carolyn P. Myers of Winston-Salem; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three special friends, Jack Carter of Winston-Salem; Madeline Blizard of Clemmons Village II; and Eugenia Howard of Clemmons; and a special niece, Georgie Shermer. The funeral service will be con! ducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Pastor Jennings O' Neil and the Rev. Ray Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Clemmons Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends from noon Friday, May 2, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or Heritage Hill Baptist Church, 1785 Pope Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. The family would like to thank the staffs of Hospice and Palliative CareCenter and Clemmons Village II for the love and care shown to Mrs. Peddycord.
