The Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008, at Indian Trail United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Chrisawn. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hamptonville, NC at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 - 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Indian Trail. Mr. Osborne was born January 14, 1944 in Hamptonville, NC , son of the late, Jake Osborne and Lucy Sparks Osborne. He is also preceded in death by his son, Charles "Chuck" Jacob Osborne. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Vickery Osborne; his son, Michael "Mack" Whitney Osborne and wife, Hyo Jin Osborne Park of Leland, NC; and his aunt, Sudie Harrison of Hamptonville, NC. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hamptonville, NC. He was a deacon and very active in Brid! gewater Baptist Church in NJ. Mr. Osborne graduated from West Yadkin High School, Appalachian State University and Tufts University. His business career included Vice President, AIG Parsippany, NJ, Assistant Vice President, Lindsey Morden Service in NY, and Regional Vice President of Thomas Howell Group Americas in NJ. He also taught Business Law at Jefferson College. Mr. Osborne was an avid golfer and member of the Senior Citizens Golf Association. He enjoyed spending his time with his family. The family would like to thank Dr. Pal of Carolina Hematology and Oncology and Hospice of Charlotte for all the loving care and support they showed and provided for Charlie. Memorials may be made to Indian Trail United Methodist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte. Heritage Funeral Home Indian Trail Chapel is assisting the family.
