Born in Yadkin County on August 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William M. (Willie) and Geneva Key Mize. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Her husband, Lewis James Wooten, preceded her in death on July 11, 2008. Mrs. Wooten is survived by a brother, Luther Mize, of Yadkinville; three sisters, Pearl (Sandy) Harris and Nellie Hobson of Yadkinville and Linda (Willis) Smith of Mocksville; a sister-in-law, Martha Ward of Woodleaf and two brothers-in-law, Dwight (Frankie) Wooten and John Wooten of Mocksville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy and Leroy Mize and a sister, Lucille Hutchens. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wooten will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, October 18, in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Jordan! officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Mackie-Sinclair Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Mackie-Sinclair Funeral Service is serving the family of Mrs. Ella Mae Mize Wooten.
