GERMANTON - Mr. Marvin Harding Trivette, Sr., 79, of Tesh Rd., passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008 at his home. Marvin was born in Forsyth County on May 31, 1929 the son of the late Noah and Ella Mackie Trivette. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired Brick Mason. Mr. Trivette was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Crews Trivette in September 1994, four brothers and a sister. Surviving is a daughter, Betty Lineberry of Jonesville; two sons, Marvin H. Trivette, Jr. of Germanton and Terry A. Trivette and wife, Kathy of Rural Hall; seven grandchildren; two special grandchildren who were very close to their grandfather, Terry Trivette, Jr. and Kelley Carroll and a sister, Stella Hawks. A Graveside Service and burial will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Stanleyville Cemetery 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 with Rev. Terry Rausch officiating. Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall is assisting the Trivette family. Memorial donations may be made to the! First Baptist Church of Stanleyvillem 851 Ziglar Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. She was the d/o Joseph "Joel" Robert Mackie & Catherine Collins. Joel Mackie was born 5 14 1862 in Yadkin County the s/o Benjamin Mackie & Tennesse Reece. Joel married Catherine Elizabeth "Kate" Collins 12 8 1891. Kate Collins Mackie was born 12 15 1876 and died 8 18 1945. She was the d/o David D. Collins b. 1835 & Nancy Smith David Collins was the s/o Hiram Collins & Phebe Tucker.
