He was born February 2, 1941 to the late John Wesley & Gladys Driver Willard. He was a member of Pilot View Friends Church. Mr. Willard served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a retired Truck Driver. Surviving are his two sons. Erik Willard, Raleigh; Jerry Ray Willard, Elkin; five grandchildren Zack Willard, Weston Willard, Wesley Willard, Courtnee Willard, and Megan Willard; a sister, Mozelle Pinnix, Yadkinville; a brother, Brady (Jerlene) Willard, Yadkinville; life -long friends, Larry & Peggy Hennings; and several other special friends. His Funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Pilot View Friends Church with the Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger, and Brother Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 10346.
