West, Sr., 95, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Willowbrook Nursing Center. He was born December 4, 1912 in Yadkin County to the late Jim and Lue Ella Godfrey West. Mr. West was a retired farmer and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 70 years, 6 months, and 17 days, Irene Renegar West; three sisters, three brothers; and a great-grandchild. Surviving are his son, Mr. Andy (Gina) West, Hamptonville; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret W. (Jimmy) Caudle, Hamptonville; four grandchildren, Scott Caudle, Mitch Caudle, Laura West, Caleb West; two great-grandsons, West Caudle and Duncan Caudle; a great-granddaughter, Lilly Caudle; and his "Birthday Buddy", Dr. Ed Hill. His Funeral Service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday at Mountain View Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Tucker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
