He was born Feb. 28, 1958, in Guilford County to Grady Lee and Kathleen Shore Somers. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Grace Somers and Minnie Shore; and brother-in-law Brian Anthony. Surviving are his wife, Tracy Anthony Somers; children Austin Lee Somers and Tanner Anthony Somers; sister Jan Somers; brothers Kent (Hazel) Somers and Lynn (Cynthia) Somers; father and mother-in-law Tony and Janie Anthony; brother-in-law Bradley (Jennifer) Anthony; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Swan Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Russ Nixon and the Rev. Evan Bass officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today, April 25, at Swan Creek Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkin Valley Bank & Trust, Somers Children Memorial Fund, 101! N. Bridge St., Jonesville, NC 28642.
