Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem surrounded by his family. Paige retired from Hanes Knitting Co. with 40 years of service. A beloved member of the community, Paige served as deputy sheriff of Yadkin County; was one of the founders and coach of Fall Creek Little League; and, along with his wife Evelyn, served as MYF counselor for 25 years at New Home and Prospect United Methodists Churches. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Brown Norman; his parents, Wick and Bessie Norman; sisters, Alberta Norman, Mervil Hobson and Bernice Nemith; and brother, James Ellis Norman. Surviving are his children and their spouses, Jeanette and Skip Schuelke, Tim and Christine Norman and Brian and Misty Norman; and his grandchildren, Warren and Craig Ellis, Josh and Hannah Norman and Chezney Paige Norman. Also surviving are Peggy Norman and their daughter, Kimberly. The family will receive friends from 6 t! o 8 p.m. today, April 20, at Huff Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 21, at New Home United Methodist Church with Pastors Bob Smith and Patty Choplin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The deceased will be in the church 30 minutes before the service and during family visitation. Bring your memories to share and celebrate Paige' s life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the "Paige Norman Memorial Fund for Needy Children" in care of Yadkin Valley Bank, P.O. Box 175, East Bend, N.C. 27018 or to New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund. Published in the Winston-Salem Journal on 4/20/2008.
