Hazel was born Feb. 1, 1922, in Yadkin County to John Carl and Martha Bell Windsor. She retired from Chatham Manufacturing Co. after 42 years of service. She was a lifetime member at Flat Rock Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by two brothers, Turner Windsor and Harold Windsor. Surviving are two brothers, Terry (Georgia) Windsor of Hamptonville and J.C. (Marie) Windsor of Winston-Salem. She had several nieces and nephews; and several special cousins and special friends. She will be greatly missed by all. She spent her life looking after others. She took care of her father until his death and then took care of her mother until her death. Her funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Gentry Family Chapel, with the Rev. Joe Reece and the Rev. Joey Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock ! Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, March 6, at the funeral home in Yadkinville.
