Mr. Miller was born Aug. 3, 1919, to the late Grady Wilson and Beatrice Reavis Miller. Mr. Miller was a retired farmer. He served on the Board of Directors for Yadkin Valley Telephone, Hoots Memorial Hospital and Federal Land Bank. He was a Charter Member of Courtney Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Courtney Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles "Chuck" Miller Jr.; a sister; and two brothers. Surviving are his children, Charlotte Miller (Tommy) Baity of Yadkinville; Dennis G. (Denise) Miller of Yadkinville; David Bimbo (Elaine) Miller of Advance; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; three sisters; and three brothers. His funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Courtney Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ricky Atkins officiating. The body will be in the church 30 minutes before ! the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 14, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family of Mr. and Mrs. Miller would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care giving to them during their stay. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Courtney Baptist Church Building Fund, 3341 Courtney Church Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
