She was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Yadkin County to the late Miles and Maggie Heath Wooten. Mrs. Jester was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 18 years of service, and was a member of Branon Friends Meeting. She was a devoted homemaker, and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Jester; and by four brothers. Surviving are her loving husband of 52 years, Allen G. Jester of the home; two daughters, Teresa Brown, Yadkinville; Sandra Riggs, Boonville; four grandchildren, Josh Brown, Chasity Brown, Maggie Sink, Christy Gumpert; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Mae Hinson, whom she loved dearly; two brothers; three sisters; and her special little dog, Hanna. A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today, March 3, at Branon Friends Meeting Cemetery, with the Rev. Hewey Par! rish and Pastor Joe Reece officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial and Honor Program, Saint Jude Children' s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
