A family member has in their possession a family Bible that lists Wm. Dennis BAITY's death as 9/27/1901 and Christina's as 4/2/1884 and occurring in Yadkin County. We are searching for their burial place. They lived in Yadkin County all their life and have family members galore buried at Courtney Baptist Church Cemetery, Courtney, NC, yet they are not listed as being buried there. Several of their children and their descendants still live around Yadkin County. I have the book "Cemeteries of Yadkin County North Carolina" compiled by Carl C. Hoots and they are not listed in it all. My cousin visited Yadkin County on a genealogical trip a few weeks ago and went to Courtney Baptist Church to inquire about cemetery records but could never get in touch with anyone that would help her. So we're stumped! Does anyone know if there are any mortuaries in Yadkin County that might have been doing business there since the late 1890's and onward? If so perhaps I can contact them about burials. I can use any help anyone can provide on finding these graves.
