Her parents were Sheridan Arnold born in Hamptonville, North Carolina and Susan (Susanah?) Sales born in North Carolina. Susan went by the name of Clementine and died on 30 Nov 1910. She died in Sylvania, Dade County, Missouri and is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lockwood, MO. She was married to Phillip Leroy Holcomb and they moved to Missouri from North Carolina after the birth of their first child, Clem.
