I think I was on SR-1605. Is this the same road that is called Old 421 East? One of the librarians I was talking to mentioned that the farm with the large white house across the road (not directly across from the church, but close) was originally owned by a Davis family. Does anyone know which Davis family it belonged to? Finally, where is SR-1601 in Forbush Township located? According the the Yadkin Co cemetery book, SR-1601 goes toward the Bruce Cemetery, which has just two headstones - one for EMA Lakey Bruce and one for David J. Davis. I don't know if "Bruce" is the official name of the cemetery or just one given to it by the author of the book. I'm exploring the possibility that this might actually be the Davis Graveyard I asked about a few months back. Figuring out where it is located would be very helpful. Yes, Old US 421 is also SR 1605. Also, State Road 1601 is also known as Bruce Road. To get to Bruce Road, go east on Old US 421 about 4 - 5 miles and turn left on Baltimore Road. Then follow it about 3 or 4 miles and Bruce Road will be on the left a couple of hundred yards before you get to Forbush Road.
