Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born May 18, 1928 in Yadkin County to the late Ossie and Victoria Bryant Shaw. Mrs. Gentry was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family. She enjoyed a variety of handcrafts including quilting, cross-stitching, and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Gentry, and by her brother, Glade Shaw. Surviving are her children, Ranny (Regina) Gentry, Lewisville, Paulette (Neil) Wright, Yadkinville, Cathy (Garry) Porter, Roaring River, NC; five grandchildren, Mandy (Jesse) Brown, Russell Gentry, Shannon Porter, Renea (Josh) Burgess, Brian Porter; and two great-grandchildren, Megan Brown and Joshua Brown. Her Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Jones. There will be no formal visitation, how! ever the family will be meeting at the home of her daughter, Paulette Wright, 1016 Abbott Street, Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
