Mr. Clifton was born in Collinsville, VA on December 20, 1938; son of the late Odell Clifton and Myrtle Shelor Clifton. He attended Peace Heaven Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at First Baptist Church of Yadkinville, on Monday December 6, 2010 at 1:30p.m. with Rev. Chris Volts, Rev. Vernon Turner, and Pastor John Clifton officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. Survivors include his wife Debra Clifton of the home, two sons, John P. Clifton of Yadkinville and Rocky Lee Clifton of Pfafftown, one daughter, Vickie A. Clifton Howell of Davidson County, NC, two brothers, Rex Odell Clifton and Ewell Bruce Clifton both VA, one sister, Mary Lee Whitt of VA, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister Ruth! Jean Clifton. Services have been entrusted to Mackie-Sinclair Funeral and Cremation Service, Yadkinville.
