Mrs. Kennedy was born February 26, 1946 in Yadkin County to Hardin and Fronie Hudson Cockerham. Mrs. Kennedy was of the Baptist Faith and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers: Deck Cockerham, Joe Cockerham, John Cockerham, James Cockerham, Warren Cockerham, and J.C. Cockerham; and sisters: Lois Cranfield, Mary Baity, Kate Hanks, Tilley Mendenhall, Betty Oxendine, and Anna Lee Cockerham Survivors include her husband Larry Kennedy of the home; one son Larry Steven Kennedy also of the home; two daughters Tina Kennedy and Christy Pienkowski both of Mooresville; two grandchildren Haley and Logan Pienkowski. Funeral services for Mrs. Kennedy will be conducted Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Stone Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
