She was born June 12, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late John and Pernie Shore Beamon. Mrs. Groce was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker to her family. She enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren through the years. Mrs. Groce was of the Baptist Faith, and in addition to her parents, was also preceded in death by her husband, David Groce; son-in-law, Bill Seats; two sisters, Lucy Beamon, Minnie Beamon; four brothers, Luther Beamon, Hillary Beamon, Herman Beamon, and Ted Beamon. Surviving are her two daughters, Ruby Eddleman (Robert) Powe, of Davie County; Ola Mae Seats, Farmington; Grandchildren, Rev. Billy (Teresa) Seats, Allen (Maria) Eddleman, David (Michelle) Eddleman, Bobbie (Frank) Cas! elles, Kim (Jason) Magallanes; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Billy Seats. Burial will follow in Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to her special friend, Kathy Phillips, Tammy Cook, and the nurses and Dr. Waite of Blue Ridge Cardiology, for all the loving care given to Mrs. Groce.
