That would put him born 6 years after the supposed birth date of 16 Mar 1844. I know mistakes were very often made in giving ages on the census, but I am pretty sure that when parents gave an age in months instead of years, they were probably correct. This family has been a hard one to research, beginning with the fact that for years I was told that the wife of Francis Marion SWISHER was Nellie Belle MATHIS who died 1938. Just recently found that her name was Ellen Nellie MATHIS and that Nellie Belle MATHIS was actually born 1935 and was the granddaughter of Francis Marion SWISHER and Ellen Nellie MATHIS.
