(Jim) Williams, passed into Paradise with Jesus Christ on Friday Morning, March 12, 2010. She was a member of the Yadkinville United Methodist Church, and a member of the Women of Faith Sunday School Class. Linda was born March 15, 1949 at home in Yadkin County to the late John F. and Alta Daye Jester. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Jester. Linda is survived by her husband, Jim Williams, her daughter Stefanie Williams (David) Prince of Loris SC, and her son, James Lee Williams of the home. Two grandchildren: Luke and Jacob Prince of Loris SC. Sisters: Nadine Daye of Yadkinville, Judy (Larry) Comer of Boonville, Peggy (Ricky) Moxley of Boonville. Brothers: Tony (Verina) Jester of Yadkinville, Terry (Polly) Jester of Thurmond, Jerry (Diane) Jester of Yadkinville, and Jackie (Barbara) Jester of Boonville. Sister-in-Law Kathryn (George) Hege of Yadkinville, and Brother-in-Law Sam (Cathy) W! illiams of Yadkinville. Many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews. Linda graduated from the last class of Yadkinville High School Class of 1967, took courses at Surry Community College and was a career secretary, working for CIT Finance, Yadkin Arts Council, Yadkin Soil Conservation Service, James Williams & Co., and NC DOT in Winston-Salem. After James was born, Linda became a full-time mother and homemaker. She volunteered as a reader at Yadkinville Elementary School, Cub Scouts, YUMW Chicken Pie Luncheons and helped collect food for Yadkin Christian Ministries. She attended every baseball game, soccer match, football game, wrestling match, and any other event in which James participated. She was a good "listener" to the family, friends, and strangers who wanted to share their troubles, concerns and joys. Linda loved gospel music and always had an Elvis gospel CD playing while driving. Mrs. Williams funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 15, 2010 (her birth date) at the Yadkinville United Methodist Church with Pastor Patty Choplin officiating. Interment will follow in the Yadkinville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the Gentry Family Funeral Service on Hwy. 601 North in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at The Yadkinville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 25, Yadkinville, NC 27055, or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice in her honor. The family is being assisted by Gentry Family Funeral Service.
