She was born November 13, 1919 in Yadkin County to the late George Bryant and Myrtle Mackie Kiger. She enjoyed the outdoors and working with her flowers. She was also a long time member of Courtney Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilsie Gray Baity. Surviving are her children, Betty Ann (William) Chandler of Longwood, Fl., Carolyn Baity (Lee) Barksdale of Greensboro, Dotte Baity (Kurt) Garbe of West Palm Beach, Fl.; grandchildren, Kathryn Chandler (Fred) Reid of Indiatlantic, Fl., Karen Chandler (Gary) Bruno of Lake Mary, Fl., Kelly Chandler Hoffman of Apopka, Fl., Holland Barksdale (Ian) Ferguson of Charlotte, Tripp (Megan) Barksdale of Greensboro; great grandchildren, Danielle Chandler (Jason) Berry of Altamonte Spring, Fl., Baity Grantham Barksdale of Greensboro, Michael Boitnott of Jacksonville, Fl., Christopher Morrell of La! ke Mary, Fl.; great great grandson, Tyler Mcvay Berry of Altamonte Spring, Fl.; sister, Ailene Ritchie of Matthews; sister-in-law, Violet Baity of Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Courtney Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 Sunday, prior to the service at Courtney Baptist Church. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Baity family.
