She was born March 11, 1916 in Wilkes County to the late C.A. and Annie Porter Pardue. Mrs. Garmon worked for several years with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, was owner and operator of the Garmon Family Care Home, and was a member of Marler Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Frank Garmon; and by several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her son, Albert W. Griffin, Yadkinville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 5, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Her Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday at Marler Road Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Randy Johnson. Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneral service.com.
