He was born October 14, 1945 in Forsyth County to the late Robert W. and Annie Howell Pardue. Mr. Pardue was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and a member of the Yadkin and Kernersville Order of the Moose. He was also a member of Pilot View Friends Meeting and an affiliate member of Kernersville Friends Meeting. Surviving are his beloved children, Sherry Pardue (Kevin) Miller, Terry Pardue(Dwight) Coffman, Brent Pardue (Stephanie Gregory); he was lovingly known as "Poppie" to his grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Devan Miller, Mason Coffman, Karlie Coffman. Also surviving is his loving companion of 24 years, Julia Stewart of Kernersville, and her sons, Mike Stewart, Dean Stewart, and her 4 grandchildren; his friend and mother of his children, Phyllis Pardue; and close childhood frien! ds, Ronnie & Rita Vestal, Lawrence Warden, Lenuel Chamberlain, Ricky Zachary. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at the Gentry Family Chapel by Dr. Jerry Gibbons, Brother Lawrence Warden, and Rev. Nelson Puffenbarger. Burial will follow in the Pilot View Friends Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express their appreciation to all the neighbors, friends, and to Hospice of Forsyth County, for all the loving care, phone calls, food, and prayers given on behalf of the Pardue Family.
