She was born June 21, 1917 in Yadkin County to the late Barney and Annie Brown Childress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Foy Willard; five sisters, Gladys Parker, Mauda Childress, Nellie Driver, Ruby Hall, Irene Hennings; four brothers, Vernon Childress, Claude Childress, Everette Childress, Clyde Childress. Surviving are her son, J. Dale (Anne) Willard; grandchildren, Amy (Anthony) Reese, Jeremy (Amy) Willard, Patrick Willard; great grandchildren, Olivia Reese, Sophie Reese, Ella Willard; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Gentry Family Chapel, by Brother Steve Johnson and Brother Lawrence Warden. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkin! ville.
