He was born in Yadkin County on December 28, 1925 to John Evan Scott and Mamie Flynn Scott Davis. Mr. Scott was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, James Arthur Davis Sr.; brothers, Foy Scott, John Davis, and infant, Clyde Scott; and sister, Olive Dale Smitherman. Surviving are brothers, Ezra (Maude) Davis of East Bend, Paul (Bea) Davis of Boonville, James (Jean) Davis and George Davis of East Bend; sisters, Juanita Key, Freddie Hobson, Vernie (Max) Kirk of East Bend, Betty (Dillard) Simmons of Mt. Airy, and Becky (David) Reavis of Pfafftown; sisters-in-law, Nancy Scott, and Vera Davis; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Vickie Matthews, Linda Williams, and Diane Davis. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Chilton a! nd the Rev. Brian Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 4 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Huff Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 4744 Siloam Road, East Bend, NC 27018.
