She was born March 23, 1913 as the 7th child of 13 children to the late Art and Mary Pearl Rupard. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. A wonderful cook, who always wanted to serve whomever came by, with a piece of cake, pie, or cookies, Never did she not have a little something sweet that she wanted you to eat. Her specialties were fresh apple cake, chocolate pie, molasses cookies and in the summer, those wonderful blackberry pies, and she could make a pie crust in the twinkling of the eye. She and her late husband were Jehovah Witness for 54 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, J. H. Loflin Sr.; a grandson, Sammy Loflin; granddaughter, Kim Miller; and daughter, Pansy Furches. She leaves behind two brothers, Clarence Rupard of Mocksville and Gilmer Rupard of Lexingt! on; children, Delano and Jean Loflin of Rock Hill, SC, J.H. Loflin, Jr. and the late Merline Loflin of Yadkinville, Barbara Loflin of Mocksville, Robert Loflin and Janet S. Loflin of Yadkinville, Charlotte and David Miller of Yadkinville; loving caregiver, Marie and Julian Moctezuma; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her infectious smile, warm hugs and kisses and kind and loving heart and warm hands. In John 11:25, Jesus said: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." Her Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Randy Hauser and Kent Barnes. Burial will follow at Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, prior to the Service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
