She was born June 25, 1935 in Guilford County to the late Charles Emmitt and Eula Mae Hudson Dalton. Mrs. Britt was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker to her family. She was also a member of Calvary Full Gospel Church in Elkin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her beloved husband of 59 years, Knox Britt, Sr., of the home; 11children, Karen (Roger) Thomas, Boonville; Eddie (Debbie) Britt, Jr., Randleman; Vickie (Anthony) Hatcher, Boonville; Diane Rogers, Boonville; Pam Britt, Yadkinville; Charlie (Sharon) Britt, Hamptonville; Jimmy (Karen) Messer, Mocksville; John Paul Messer, Boonville; Perry (Jenny) Messer, Yadkinville; Lynn Britt, Yadkinville; Ronnie Britt, Tennessee; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a sister, Mary (George L! amb; 2 brothers, Joseph (Geraldine) Dalton, Amos Dalton; and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Friday at the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Gene Casstevens. Burial will follow in Yadkin Memorial Gardens.
