He was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of Swaims Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Sis" H. Wagoner of the home; and his very special friend and buddy, great-nephew, Dustin C. Groce and great-niece, Lindsey Nicole Groce; nephews, Darry (Debbie) Groce, Barry Groce; and his sister-in-law, Judy Griffin, who stayed by his bedside. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Gentry family Funeral Service in Jonesville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Chapel in Jonesville by the Rev. Tim Tucker, and the Rev. Don Luffman. Following the Service, burial will be at Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 10346. Online condolences may be made at www.ge! ntryfuneral service.com.
