He was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was a member of Swaims Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Sis" H. Wagoner of the home; and his very special friend and buddy, great-nephew, Dustin C. Groce and great-niece, Lindsey Nicole Groce; nephews, Darry (Debbie) Groce, Barry Groce; and his sister-in-law, Judy Griffin, who stayed by his bedside. The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Gentry family Funeral Service in Jonesville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Chapel in Jonesville by the Rev. Tim Tucker, and the Rev. Don Luffman.
