She was born October 1, 1961 in Yadkin County to David and Vernice Holcomb. She is preceded in death by her mother, Vernice Whitt Holcomb; Surviving are her husband, Donald Elfiner Speaks; father, David Lee Holcomb; sister, Patricia Ann (Jeffery) White; brothers, David Keith Holcomb, Curtis Eddie Holcomb, Timothy Dale (Tonya) Holcomb; niece, Kaitlain Holcomb; nephew, Roy Faw, Jr.; several other nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Kathleen Speaks; sisters-in-law, Paulette (Clifton) Tilley, Crystal (Thomas) Triplett; brothers-in-law, Jeffery (Veronica) Speaks, Robin (Jackie) Speaks. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville, by the Rev. Spencer King. Burial will follow at Yadkinville Cemetery.
