She was born February 28, 1925 to the late Carl Fredrick & Augusta Louise Schmidt Pfost. Mrs. Bishop was a retired Missionary. She and her husband of 50 years served the Lord for 48 years in Japan. She is a member of Faith Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Dan M. Bishop, of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Bishop, Tobaccoville; a son, Paul (Susan) Bishop, Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Joel Bishop, Kayla Bishop, Jeremy Bishop; a sister, Marion (John) Austin, Rutland, VT. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Faith Baptist Church. Her Funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Faith Baptist Church by the Rev. Monroe Otto. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church building fund: Faith Baptist Church, 4840 Old US 421 E.
