She was born March 17, 1922 in Yadkin County to the late Harrison and Mary Ashburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bill Draughn; daughter, Bonnie Jean Draughn; sisters, Louise Pruitt, Alma Lambert, Dorothy Childress; brother, Everette "Teb" Ashburn; mother and father in-laws, Gene and Bertie Draughn. Surviving are several close nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws, Katherine Ashburn, Elsie Hurt. Her funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Allen Barker. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 Sunday, prior to the service, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
