Mrs. Morrison was born January 20, 1920 in Wilkes County to Bryant and Gertie Pardue Gray. She was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church and had a deep love for her family and her community. Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her husband James Elmer Morrison; an infant son Robert Samuel Morrison; three brothers Sam Gray, Jim Gray, and Martin Gray; and a sister Ethel Day. She is survived by a son Chris Morrison and wife Patti of Kernersville; a daughter Mary Gray Hoffman of Prince George, VA; Four grandchildren, Stephanie Rusnak of Richmond, VA, Amy Koren and husband Jason of Prince George, VA, Laura Morrison of Durham, and Bryant Morrison and finance Cassie Stanford of Charlotte; and two great grandchildren, Tanner Rusnak and Gracyn Lilly Koren. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel, wit! h Rev. Daron Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
