Frye Sr., 86, of East Bend, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Yadkin County on October 10, 1923 to James and Mary Ridings Frye. Mr. Frye was a member of Enon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Kay Frye. Mr. Frye will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mildred V. Frye; daughter, Brenda (Gene) Gaither; son, George H. (Ruth) Frye Jr.; grandchildren, Chris (Heather) Wilborn, and George H. (Leah) Frye III; great-grandchildren, Kalen, Branden, Jacob, and Sara; several half brothers and sisters; and many friends including close family friend Sandy Wilborn. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark Elmore and the Rev. Tracy Webb officiating. The body will be placed in the church to lie in-state from 3:30 until 4:00 p.m.. Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cem! etery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend.
