Mrs. Brown was born January 18, 1931 in Yadkin County to the late James and Rose Reece Stewart. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister to all her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Burgess, Dorothy Miller, Grace Head, an infant sister, brothers, Howard, Reece, James, and John Stewart. Survivors include her daughters, Marci (R.C.) Carter and Shelia (Kerry) Johnson; four grandchildren, Devin and Lauren Carter, Travis and Whitney Johnson; sisters, Amy ridge, Billie Brown, Peggy Lipe; and a brother, Leroy Stewart. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Dr. Greg Gordon and Rev. Will Hamrick. B! urial will follow in the Mt.
