Bob, I found the marriage for W D Hale (Hall) and Catherine Joyner in Francis Casstevens marriages 1850-1868. They were married Aug 2, 1862 in Yadkin. I know of Gurtie Hall, He lived on the Shady Grove Church Road and his parents were instrumental in the starting of Shady Grove UM Church. I have a document telling all about the workers and who did what in building this church. I will now look for Hall instead of Anderson or Hale.
