Bob, Also found a marriage for Catherine Joyner and W.D. Hale on Aug 2, 1862 in Yadkin Co. Could this be the Elizabeth C, daughter of Timothy and Frances Joyner Also, found the parents of the Catherine Joyner marrying George Reavis to be the daughter of Joseph Joyner and Nancy Whitlock. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Carter" <gravehunter@triad.rr.com> To: "NCYADKIN" <NCYADKIN@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 08, 2010 9:38 PM Subject: [NCYADKIN] JOYNER names > Anyone know the parents of these JOYNER names? > > - Kate JOYNER, wife of William ANDERSON (son John b. abt 1864 in East > Bend) > > - Eleanor JOYNER wife of Lon STEELMAN (Deep Creek, married before 1915 and > possibly buried at Sandy Springs) > > - M. Yep, I believe that's the one. Sorry I said the last name was ANDERSON since it was meant to be HALL. I had shown Elizabeth Catherine JOYNER (b. abt 1843) and married to a Hale too, but in reality it appears to be William HALL based on their son's name on his death record. Have not found a marriage record for William and Kate in Surry or Yadkin. His name was John HALL and death record shows b. abt 1864 in East Bend and d. 5-24-1914 in Yadkinville of TB. Shows he was divorced and death reported by Gurney HALL of East Bend. Unsure of his John's wife, but there's a John W. HALL marrying a Mattie DAVIS (d/o Robert J. & M. D. DAVIS) in Yadkin on 7-22-1884, but not sure if that's him or not. Thanks for the info on them and the others too.
