She was born February 23, 1925 in Wilkes County to the late Joe and Leona Jarvis Mathis. She retired from Astoria Braid with 29 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earlie H. Caudill; son, Tommy Caudill; brothers, Glenn Mathis, Jimmy Mathis; and sister, Irene M. Pardue. Surviving are her brother, Jarvis (Ruth) Mathis; nephew, Mike (Cathy) Mathis; nieces, Glenda (Buck) Combs, Veona (Ken) Cornelius, Robin Mathis; great nephews, David Combs, Cody Mathis; great niece, Amy (Lynn) Snow; great-great nephews, Ethan & Troy (Little Boys) Snow; and step-children, Winfrey Caudill, David Caudill, Teddy Caudill, Maevonne Cheek. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Island Ford Baptist Church by the Rev. Rodney Canter and the Rev. Conard Hatfield. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.! The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the Service on Saturday at Island Ford Baptist.
