She was born March 18, 1947 in Yadkin County to Wayne and Imogene Hobson Groce. Peggy was retired from U. S. Airways, and was currently working as a Patient Care Coordinator with New Horizons Home Care Inc. She was an active and faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Peggy was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She cherished each one of them, especially her grandson, Gavin, which was the light of her life. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Groce. Surviving are her husband and best friend of 43 years, Roy Brown, of the home; her sons and their spouses, Tim Brown & Dana Epple Huntley, Akron, Ohio, Greg & Gina Brown, Lewisville; her beloved, special grandson, Gavin Brown, Lewisville; her mother, Imogene H. Groce, Yadkinville; two sisters, Wilma (R.L) Eads, Yadkinville, Doris (Al) Burnette, Winston-Salem; brother, Johnny (Sis! sy) Groce, Yadkinville; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny (Shirley) Hobson, the late Bobby (Martha) Hobson, Windle (Sylvia) Brown. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenny Gooden. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the Service. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
