"Our lives will never be complete without you and the hole in our hearts will never be filled." She was born February 4, 1952 in Yadkin County to the late Roy Lee and Peggy Byrd Hemric. She worked for several years with Chatham Manufacturing, Candle Corporation of America, and attended Longtown Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a compassionate and charitable example for the family and community by generously giving of her time, words, thoughts, or deeds. A recent example was when she volunteered in helping with the TV Series "Extreme Home Makeover" in Lexington. Mama loved her flowers, and their beautiful blooms represent how she lived her life in trying to help others to grow and blossom into the tender, warm, understanding friend she was to so many in her life. She ! was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, and excellent cook for her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Turner Spicer and by her grandson, "Little Bean" Branon. Those left to cherish the volumes of wonderful memories are her three devoted daughters, Jennifer (Bobby) Mathis, Hamptonville, Beth (Randell) Cockerham, Hamptonville and Heather (John) Branon, Yadkinville; grandchildren, Stephanie Mathis (Steven) Berbec, Dylan Mathis, Wesley Cockerham; a brother, Larry (Reta) Hemric, Jonesville; and two very special friends and companions, "Pierre'" and "Tinker Bell". The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Longtown Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Mike Allen and the Rev. Don Sigmon. A private Graveside Service for the immediate family will follow the Service in the Church. Flowe! rs will be accepted or memorials may be made to either Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC 27055 or to St. Judes Childrens Research, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
