Brent was born on July 24, 1940 to the late Beecher and Betty Wall Poindexter. He was retired from Stroh's Brewery and employed by the Yadkin County Recycling Center. He was a dedicated member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Mildred Poindexter and sons, Shannon Poindexter (Alice Carter) and Chad Poindexter; and his little buddy, Snoopy. Visitation will be held at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. A service celebrating Brent's life will be held at Shady Grove United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 29 at 3pm. Memorials may be made to the Shady Grove Cemetery Fund. Memorials may be made to c/o Patty Davis, 4649 Shady Grove Ch. Rd., East Bend, NC 27018. Huff Funeral Home will be assisting the Poindexter family.
