She was born May 2, 1937 in Forsyth County. Mrs. Garnett was retired from Amp, Inc. and was of the Baptist Faith. She loved playing Bingo and going fishing with her family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who devoted her time in taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Lettie Hicks Tise and Charlie Tise; a son, Mark Randall Plowman; a brother, Edford Phillips; and her husband, Harold Garnett. Surviving are her children, Daphne (David) Brown, Robin Plowman, Donna Hart, James (Wendy) Plowman, Jr., all of East Bend; her first husband, James "Buddy" Plowman, Sr.; grandchildren, Molly P. Wood, Zachary Plowman, Jacob Plowman, Mattie "Nana's Angel" Plowman, Shane Plowman, Tyler Hart; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Brinkley, Linda (Roger) Edwards, Peggy (George) Beckerdite; brothers, David (! Francis) Phillips, Thurmond (Weta) Phillips, Roger Phillips, Billy (Elizabeth) Phillips, Buck Tise. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
