Lynn Freedle Hutchens 53, of East Bend, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on September 8, 1956 to John Spencer and Marjorie McGee Freedle. Mrs. Hutchens was a member of Forbush Friends Meeting. She was a loving wife, mother, and nanna. She graduated from Parkland High School in 1974. She was a cheerleader for the tiny Greyhounds in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Hutchens was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was preceded in death by her father, John Spencer Freedle on September 20, 1988. Surviving are her husband, Ralph Hutchens of the home; a daughter, Amy Hutchens of the home; a son, David (Allison) Hutchens of East Bend; her mother, Marjorie McGee Freedle of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Carolyn Benson of Kernersville and Tenia (Mike) Keith of Lexington; a special mother-in-law, Cora Hutchens of East B! end; two grandchildren, Zachary Hutchens and Lindsey Kate Hutchens; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Forbush Friends Meeting at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Andy Lambert and the Rev. Ray Hamilton officiating. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:30 to lie in-state. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2010 at Huff Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to a special sister-in-law, Linda Hutchens and to the rest of the family and friends for their love and support and to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice for their excellent care. Memorials may be made to the Forbush Friends Family Life Center, c/o Mary Wooten, 2821 Mill Hill Road, East Bend, NC 27018.
