She was a good mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was born June 13, 1918 in Yadkin County to the late Zet and Pearl Shore Shugart. Mrs. Prim was a farmer, wonderful seamstress and one of the best cooks around. She was a member of Boonville Baptist Church, but attended Welcome Valley Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Prim in January of 1999; brother, Guy Shugart; sisters, Epsi Caudle, Vivian Taylor; and son-in-law, Grell Cave. Surviving are her children: Gay Cave, J.D. Prim and wife, Dinah, Guy Prim and wife, Joyce; grandchildren, Brenda (Tommy) Reynolds, Lisa Cave, Rev. Dale (Gail) Cave, Roy (Amy) Cave, Susan (Jerry) Mabe, Christi (Jason) Hutchens, Sharon (Jeff) Collins, Randy (Patricia) Prim, LuAnn (Brad) Doss, Becky (Sean) Vestal; 23 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grand! children; a special friend, the Rev. Bill Jenkins, who was like a son to her; and special cousin, Edna Gentry. Her Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Bill Jenkins and the Rev. Dale Cave. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 p.m. Saturday, prior to the Service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneral service.com.
