He was born in Surry County, NC on December 25, 1915 and was the son of the late Will and Emmaline Payne Felts and was retired from Yadkin County Cooperative Extension Service. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February, 2, 2010 from Mackie-Sinclair Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Yadkin Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his son, Timothy Felts of Hamptonville; a daughter, Susie Wells of Hamptonville; a brother; Warren Felts of Yadkinville; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Felts was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Felts; a brother, Sammy Felts; and a grandson, Tony Felts. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 at the funeral home and other times at his son's home.
