Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born in Yadkin County on February 7, 1923 to Sophronia Frye. Mrs. Pilcher was preceded in death by her mother; husband William Ralph Pilcher; daughter Shelby Johnson; and infant son, James. Surviving are daughter, Martha (Bob) Johnson of East Bend; son, Alan (Debbie) Pilcher of East Bend; son-in-law, Wayne Johnson of East Bend; sister, Bertha Mae Moorefield of Yadkinville; sister-in-law, Margaret Hampton of Rural Hall; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Brother Brian Poindexter. The body will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the East Bend Friends Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Huff Fun! eral Home in East Bend.
