I did locate where a John Wooten and Sarah Haynes were married in Surry Co, NC. The only other census I can locate a James C. Wooten listed on prior to 1860 is on Irdell Co. 1850 census living with a Haynes Wooten, who was 25 yrs. old. It had him listed as being 13 in 1860 which confused me about his age. The household above that has a Richard Wooten, 23: Jane Wooten, 22 and Mary Wooten as 12. The head of this household was an Abram Cook, 73. Haynes Wooten has a daughter named Sarah.
